Lou`s Wood Fire Pizza in Del Rio

Pizza is really good. Woodfire oven flavor definitely comes through. Meat lovers pizza and garlic cheese bread were really good if you don't mind the grease. Pizza is definitely worth the wait. Staff is friendly and service oriented. I don't make it to Del Rio too often but now I have one more reason to go.

Great pizza and salad wish it was less expensive

Hands down the best pizza in town. Eclectic topping choices. The wood oven tends to leave the pizza a bit soggy, especially if you like lots of toppings, but the flavor is perfect. Calzones have too much ricotta and not enough mozzarella for my taste.

This is brick oven pizza, the best pizza in town. I tend to have the pepperoni pizza with feta cheese on top. They have unique pizzas as well. The shrimp and jalapeno is also.a good one to try.

I've been here a few times and the food is pretty good. I have celiac disease and I know no where can guarantee gluten free, however their gluten free cauliflower crust is really good. One visit we didn't try to order as they were busy and the serving area isn't too big. Not their fault, they were popular that night.

The best it has ever been and not as smokey. I have asthma and can't usually eat there. It was cooked to perfection!!

Really good pizza. The service was fast and the pizza was made just right. Crust was tender and flavorful and they have many choices for toppings. I had a ceaser salad with mine and it was very good, too. Not too expensive either!

The supreme pizza substituting mushrooms for Spinich is absolutely awesome!Update: They now have a cauliflower crust pizza for people that are on a low carb diet. It is delicious and tastes just like regular bread.

Our family stopped here on the way from Big Bend N.P. to San Antonio and we're so happy we chose this for lunch. The veggie delight pizza had tons of veggies and was very flavorful. The back crust was just the right chewiness. Everyone working was very friendly. We'll definitely eat here again if we are back in this part of TX.

Great pizza, subpar service. I waited over an hour for my pizza to be served and never got a refill on my drink. I'd recommend going when you're not in a hurry.

Service is fantastic, food is good but -very- heavy on the oil. Wouldn't call it bad, but would advise coming prepared to feel stuffed afterwards. Topping quality is great as well.Decor is cool as well, featuring some silly wall piece and a pretty awesome fibre optic drop ceiling array.

Lou's is ALWAYS On Point! The food is delicious and service is great. Pls understand that every pizza is made fresh to order, so it does take a bit. If you want fast, get a Hot & Ready; if you want Scrumdiddlyumptious come to Lou's!We get The Special: Lrg 2 Topping, Salad and Two Drinks for $22. Everything I've had here has been great. The pizza is great, the pasta is delicious, and salads are tasty. I love that you can order online & I just learned they deliver now! They have a good selection of pizzas or you can order custom toppings. Whatever you decide to go with will be good.

The pizza tastes amazing. I got a pepperoni and a pepperoni with sausage. Holy smoke!

Ordered a Supreme for Delivery, the crust was soggy. Called in they were rude and started to blame me for ordering a supreme pizza. “Bro you ordered like 20 toppings” reminded him i was not the cook. Horrible!!!!

As always, great food! Service is a little slow because of that. But definitely worth waiting for. Some of the best pizza I've ever tasted.. And I've been to New York and Italy.

I ordered half the royal pizza, and the other half had artichokes. You can never go wrong. The crust is amazingly seasoned and the staff is excellent.

Small place but pizza was very good. Some interesting selections for their signature pizzas. We had the bbq chicken and a white pie with bacon. Both were excellent!

Best penne pasta ever

These guys have one of the best pizzas in Southwest Texas. I've watched them from their opening and their pizza was always good but its been fun watching them figure out restaurant biz. Now, service is nearly as good as the pizza.

Eh it’s ok. The pizza is usually made with good ingredients and reasonably priced, but they don’t use enough sauce. This makes their pizza seem more like a flatbread than a proper American pizza. Their dough usually ends up being a soggy, greasy mess if you add pepperoni or sausage. I recommend Doc Holiday’s or even Gatti’s compared to Lou’s. Pizza Outpost is opening soon and will likely put Lou’s out of business.

Wow..... Lous Pizza has it all!!!Excellent flavors and the tomato sauce is a heart winner. I'm not a fan of pizza, but this pizza makes me want to come back again and again!

The waiter was rude, forgetful, treated me like an annoyance, and never re-filled our drinks. The pizza was mediocre. There was very minimal sauce, yet it was just as well because the sauce was not good. The only pleasant experiences were the cool restaurant ceiling and the sweet woman at the cash register.

Order on line and pick them up: everything is always perfect and yummy. Whether you build your own pizza or choose one of their design, these pizzas are really good, flavorful but NOT greasy, just tasty.

We ordered pizzas to go - most people were eating in. The pizza was delicious. They are generous with the toppings and the crust was near perfect. Our waitress was a bit confused.

Great tasting food! The brick oven pizza has an authentic New York City pizza taste. The sauce and crust compliment each other perfectly. And the alfedo sauce is so creamy and delicious. I'm looking forward to trying Lou's other pasta dishes.

Please please please learn how to cook spaghetti sauce! I gave you a 3 star rating because your pizzas are good. However, your spaghetti is terrible! It tastes like you poured pizza sauce over the spaghetti. Additionally, you do not offer bread, you offer cooked pizza dough with garlic on it. That is not Italian bread. It's not even acceptable. I have to go to Applebee's to buy bread sticks, so I could have bread with my meal. I wish I had known so that I could have just ordered a pizza,

Pizza was very good, as far as service was concerned I felt like I was an annoyance. Waitresses were very nice but the order taker didn't seem to care at all. At least the pizza was good.

90% of my Google reviews are negative.This is one of the rare positive reviews.Got a Veggie Delight pizza to go... I excluded a couple of toppings and they got it right. It was a very great tasting pizza as well.worth the $20.

We’ve been to Lou’s multiple times and never had a bad experience! We love love love the pizza. Always over eat but I can’t complain. :)

Pizza was good, a bit thin and flat. I Ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a cheese pizza with garlic bread. Bread was too much, next time will order the regular bread. Service was good, music felt like it was my old playlist from the 90s. Really enjoyed it.

Salads (Mediterranean & House) were fresh, a work of art. Hawaiian pizza was excellent, not overloaded with sauce. Service was exceptional, nice environment, good music. Hard to believe this place is in Del Rio!

Very good pizza I ate entirely too much. I got the 8 inch white pizza. Added meat, black olives onion, it came out in a timely matter and was melty cheese hot.

The price is a bit in line with bigger city prices but the food is good and the staff is friendly. Try the shrimp jalapeno pepper pizza if you're not sure what to get. It is one 9f the best pizzas you'll have.
